Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Raad Abdul Hamid, a faculty member at the College of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Baghdad, delivered a training course organized by the Continuing Education Center entitled “The Role of Financial Planning in Enhancing Internal Control in Government Institutions.”

During the course, Assistant Lecturer Abdul Hamid emphasized the importance of integrating financial planning and internal control in achieving sound financial management. He also highlighted their role in improving the efficiency of government institutions, enhancing trust in public finance management, and raising the level of institutional performance.

The course aimed to introduce participants to the concept of financial planning and its importance in supporting the internal control system in government institutions. It explained its role in efficiently preparing financial plans, optimizing resource utilization, and strengthening oversight of public spending, thereby contributing to improved financial and administrative performance and the achievement of institutional goals.

The course included a review of modern financial planning methods, budget preparation and implementation monitoring mechanisms, and the role of internal control in mitigating financial risks, enhancing transparency and accountability, and ensuring compliance with approved financial legislation and regulations.
